For more than 53 years, we have been bringing the flavours of Spain to life. Our family, originally from Galicia, built Las Mañas into a place where tradition, quality, and warmth take centre stage.
Our specialty? Meat and fish from the charcoal grill: from premium Wagyu and generous planchas to authentic paella and refined seafood.
And there’s more than just great food: every evening our house orchestra plays live tropical music, and on Wednesdays the Mariachis provide an unforgettable fiesta.
As a family originally from Galicia, we have been bringing the authentic flavours of Spain to Antwerp for three generations. Our mission is simple: to serve dishes of the highest quality, always with respect for the product and our family traditions.
What once started with grandmother María Teresa’s recipes grew into an extensive menu full of meat and fish specialities. But Las Mañas is more than just great food. Every evening our house orchestra provides tropical live music. On Wednesdays the hall turns into a fiesta full of Mexican vibes with our Mariachis. We want to radiate one thing: joy, fun and pure delight!
Andres senior takes the plunge and takes over Las Mañas. While Maria Teresa refines her paella in the kitchen, Andres breaks down walls, lays water pipes and installs showers for the camion drivers. The restaurant grows, literally brick by brick, with their hands and their dreams.
The family buys the buildings and adjacent plots of land - together 2,300 m². Las Mañas becomes bigger and more versatile, with party rooms, a guest house and a kitchen that attracts more and more people.
When Antwerp becomes European Capital of Culture, Las Mañas becomes a fixture for politicians, journalists and lovers of Spanish gastronomy.
Miguel passes the torch to his son Rayco. He brings innovation in look and feel, deploys social media and strengthens branding. The restaurant combines tradition with a fresh, modern look.
The always cheerful Yapsi, brother and daddy's party boy, dies unexpectedly. His smile and joie de vivre will forever remain tangible in the heart of Las Mañas.
Led by Rayco and supported by Yaiza and Roberto, Las Mañas continues the family tradition. A unique place where food, music, emotion and family come together - for more than 53 years.
